Stand Up

An Acrostic to Remember

Hoping against hope, it was a horrible dream;

Over sixty years gone now,

Lest we should forget.

Outrage grows at apathy, denial—

Could such a thing actually have happened?  It could.  It did.

Anger, though, solves nothing; vengeance does not heal;

Understanding and sympathy are the paths to wisdom.

Stand up, then, head high, tell the

Truth, for all with ears to hear.
